THE BROUHAHA + JENNY BIDDLE, 7-9pm Saturday 13th September

Two of Australia’s best kept secrets are joining forces this September to release their new records along Australia’s East Coast. Singer-Songwriters Jenny Biddle and The Brouhaha (aka Kelly Beaumont) met back in 2013 at Clare Bowditch’s Big Hearted Business Conference after discovering a shared love for intricate guitar playing, authentic songwriting and the hardships that come with being a full-time musician.

Joining forces together on stage, Beaumont and Biddle are a guitar force to be reckoned with. So much more than your typical folk writers, these entertainers will leave your hearts musically full and your bellies humorlessly aching – taking to the East Coast this September with an epic round of venue shows, house concerts and cuppa tea times.

Although relatively unknown, Biddle is no stranger to success. With a single hitting #9 on the iTunes charts, a recent tour of the UK and the prestigious title of Melbourne’s Best Busker 2010-2012 it’s no wonder Biddle fans banded together to help fund her fourth offering – an impressive $6k in 6 days (with the total hitting $8k via crowdfunding platform Pozible).

In January, Biddle joined Beaumont’s label “Feelgood Folk” while Beaumont took a much needed break from making music to focus on management (and recover from some serious mental burnout that comes with too much touring). Needless to say it didn’t take long for that musical itch to show itself and an impromptu guitar jam with Biddle and her handmade guitars to re-ignite the fire that burns in many a songwriters belly to get out there and tell their story in its rawest form.
