Australian singer songwriter and guitarist Kim Churchill returns home this coming January 2014 for a run of East coast dates in support of his brand new single “Window to The Sky”.

While Kim’s previous songwriting produced a more dense sound, “Window to The Sky” heralds a slight shift in direction, capturing a new sense of freedom that delivers one of his most accessible songs to date. At just 23, Kim Churchill has already achieved some incredible things in his short time as a professional musician. A nomadic and hypnotizing guitarist Kim is recognised as much internationally as he is in Australia, having performed headline shows, festivals and supports alike all over the planet. His dynamic live performances focus on his deft guitar work while simultaneously playing bass drum, percussion, tambourine, harmonica and vocals.

His highly anticipated forthcoming 4th studio album showcases Kim’s melodic, contemporary, blues and folk sides. Recorded in Vancouver, the 13-track album produced by legendary heavyweight Warne Livesey (Midnight Oil, Matthew Good) is due for release in Australia mid 2014. The month spent recording the album was also the first time in 5 years that Kim had a permanent roof over his head, preferring a nomadic existence of travelling, performing, surfing, and seeing the world living in customised vans.

Hand-picked to support Billy Bragg on his current 23 date UK and European tour, Kim will also perform a headline show in London next month before returning to Australia for the forthcoming tour.
