JEREMY NEALE • Saturday 20th June

On triple j’s Good Nights with Linda Marigliano, the world heard the new banger from Jeremy Nealefor the
very first time. From the Brisbanite who brought you such hits as ‘Swing Left’, ‘In Stranger Times’ and ‘The News’, here’s ‘Hold On Together’.

‘Hold On Together’ sees Jeremy Neale teaming up with Phoebe Imhoff to deliver the future of post New Romantic driving duets. This isn’t their first anthem-delivering rodeo either – as one quarter of legendary band Go Violets (RIP), Phoebe had previously appeared on the title track of Jeremy’s In Stranger Times EP.

The track was recorded with Sean Cook at Plutonium Studios in October of 2014 and later mastered by Leon Zervos at Studios 301. It took 6 months to see the light of day because focus groups unanimously declared that the best time for such a sensitive banger would be Autumn. If you’ve been holding out for a dueling saxophone and flamenco guitar solo or just a song that Jeremy is incredibly proud of, hold out no more – this track delivers on both fronts. Since the November 2013 release of his debut EP In Stranger Times, Jeremy has taken touring to the max. He teamed up with The John Steel Singers to take the EP on a victory lap in February before heading over to the UK to play Liverpool Sound City and The Great Escape. He also visited Singapore for the Music Matters.
