It's already been a huge year for Darren Hart, aka one-man-funk-rock-shred-lord Harts, and it's about to get even bigger. Harts will be taking his 2nd album Smoke Fire Hope Desire direct to the fans with a headline trek that kicks off the day of the record's release. Written, performed, recorded and produced single-handedly in his Melbourne home studio, the 14-track album drops 16 September (via Dew Process/UMA) and features the stank-cranking 'Power' and first single 'Peculiar'.
As well as playing countless live shows and hit festival stages at Splendour, Falls, Bluesfest, Groovin The Moo, The Hills Are Alive, Festival of the Sun, Harts has spent the last couple of years solidifying his sound and identity. He says album #2 is influenced by "a lot of what I was seeing in the world around me - very current day issues, mixed with my own thoughts and challenges in my life."
